Angelina Akurgo - Member

Madam Angelina Akurgo joins Maltaaba Community Bank's Board of Directors, bringing a wealth of experience as a dedicated teacher and leader. With 21 years of classroom experience, she is also serving as CEO of Basic schools, including her current school in Bongo District for the past ten (10) years.

Angelina has contributed passionately to her community and organizations like Red Cross Society, FAWE Ghana Chapter and collaborated with Maatan Tudu on microfinance initiatives. She has held leadership roles in women's groups, farmers' organizations, traders' associations, and Bolgatanga Teachers Credit Union, where she was Vice Chair of the Education Committee.

As Director of Awimbono Foundation and Manager of Menesto Medical Center, she applies her expertise in strategic leadership, marketing and operational management. In essence, she has actively contributed to the planning and implementation of activities with the West African Civil Society Institute (WACSI) where she has undergone training in key areas, including Governance & Leadership, Project & Financial Management, Advocacy, Digital Rights, Resource Mobilization, and Communication, enhancing her skills and expertise in these fields

Angelina holds a Diploma in Management Studies from the University of Cape Coast and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Winneba, Kumasi Campus.

Her commitment to community development and healthcare makes her a valuable asset to our board.
